Vehicles had a simple design and only a 12V battery source for starting, running electronics and fuel injection. The high voltage battery pack runs the air conditioning compressor, electric motor and inverter/converter. It also uses a different oil type than traditional systems. One oil type absorbs moisture and can conduct electricity, while the other does not. If not properly handled, it could turn a seemingly simple procedure into a very dangerous situation.
